Our Sniffari program is all about giving our shelter dogs a chance to explore the world beyond the kennel. Volunteer “guides” take dogs on enriching walks filled with new sights, smells, and adventures. Sniffaris reduce stress, build confidence, and help our pups shine for potential adopters—all while giving the community a fun way to get involved. A simple walk can change a shelter dog’s life!

Thanks to Best Friends Animal Society, our Sniffari program gives shelter dogs a chance to explore the world outside the kennel while volunteers enjoy a fun, hands-on experience. We provide everything you need—training, aprons for treats and potty bags, water, and leashes. Sniffaris help our dogs improve leash skills, meet new people, and capture the best photos for social media—boosting their adoptability while giving them a much-needed adventure!
